Michael Chaturantabut (born April 30, 1975 in Rayong province, Thailand) is an ethnic Chinese Thai-American actor best known for his role as Chad Lee, the Blue Ranger in Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue. He is also a martial artist and creator of the XMA (Extreme Martial Arts System). Chaturantabut was trained at Sharkey's Karate Studios located in Naperville and Momence, Illinois. Sometimes called the Tony Hawk of martial arts, Chaturantabut bought a new energy to the martial art world with his Combination traditional Okinawan Shorei-ryu, Taekwondo, Chinese Wushu, Kickboxing, yoga, dance, ballet, and acrobatics. Chat was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1992.

Chad Lee had just completed one of his whale shows at a theme park when he was approached by Lightspeed agents to take him to the Aquabase. The valiant and skilled fighter didn't think twice about joining the Power Rangers when he witnessed Diabolico's ruthless attacks on the city. Chad is quiet and reserved, and spends much time scuba diving, feeling a connection with marine life. He brings to the team his exceptional martial arts ability, and water rescue skills. Chad found his true love in Marina, a mermaid he has encountered while punishing litterers. After a couple of adventures together, Chad and Marina eventually parted ways.

Chad used his underwater skills to become a lifeguard. he resumed his role as a Ranger when the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers teamed up with the Time Force Rangers to battle an undead Vypra.
